Creating invoices — by message or in the app

One sentence on WhatsApp or a form in the app — either way the invoice is built, tracked and stamped.

On WhatsApp

  1. Message the invoice in plain words: “Invoice John £600 for decking, due in 14 days”.
  2. Under CIS, split labour and materials in the message: “Invoice Thameside, labour 5000 materials 2000” — SubReady itemises them so CIS deductions apply to labour only (why that matters).
  3. Already been paid? Say so: “Invoice Mrs Hughes 850, dated 8 July, paid on 20 July”.
  4. Corrections by reply: “change invoice date to 15 Feb”, or “cancel that invoice”.

In the web or mobile app

  1. Open Invoices and choose new invoice.
  2. Pick or add the customer, add line items (keep labour and materials as separate lines under CIS), set the due date, save.
  3. Preview the PDF and send it to your customer.
  4. Reuse your standard services from your saved products list (add one by message too: “Add service Plastering £200 labour CIS”).

Statuses and stamps

Recording money received against an invoice: recording payments. Pricing a job first: quotes & CONVERT.
